Again… Fox News ginned up the same idiots for their financial reasons, and it worked out poorly for them… I doubt Hunter or the other Bidens want to go down this road at this point, but they certainly could, and that would take away her whole warchest. She’s probably shielded on the congress side, but almost certainly not on the fundraising side. And given the experience of Santos, it’s hard to get the DOJ to give a shit about your campaign finance violations, but once they do it’s really hard for you to have done it all correctly…

Ah, another crime that’s part of her stunt. I wonder how much immunity she has as a congresscritter - they’re given broad protections for speech that’s part of their job, but in this case the speech itself is criminal, and although she went to great pains to get this in the congressional record, I’m sure she couldn’t articulate a reason why displaying or disseminating this image was a necessary part of her congressional duties. I hope she really suffers some consequences for this, because if this kind of behavior is allowed to stand, there’s no bottom to the political discourse and dirty tricks that would happen.

Sure, that’s her ostensible reason, but she couldn’t ever articulate how showing the picture actually does that. I suspect the question itself would flummox her. She has “reasons” why she does things, but they’re not actually coherent, sane reasons.
