Judging by the elapsed time from flash to boom, it couldn’t be much more than half a mile away. My money’s on fireworks or some other explosive. We get our windows rattled here on the 4th of July, by the concussion-type ones (which I believe are illegal, but there they are). Our little PD’s flash-bang devices will rattle windows too.
