While there are numerous applications of the Fibonacci sequence, I do not see any use for the “Levine Sequence.”
Is there one, beyond its brain-teasing possibilities?
“Levine Sequence”
Not to be confused with the “Papasan Sequence”. Just thought you’s should know…
It’s useful as a nerdy alternative to Anchorman memes, at least.
Ackermann Number looking at Levine Number:
agree: “invented”
Did he really “discover” this sequence? I could make up a weird number algorithm too, and I wouldn’t say I discovered it. It’s closer to writing a poem than it is to figuring out the value of pi or planck’s constant.
May the MATH be with you!
Have I ever mentioned my uneasiness with exp(i * pi) = -1
Math doesn’t exist to be useful. It just exists, regardless of your needs or wants.
