While there are numerous applications of the Fibonacci sequence, I do not see any use for the “Levine Sequence.”

Is there one, beyond its brain-teasing possibilities?

Did he really “discover” this sequence? I could make up a weird number algorithm too, and I wouldn’t say I discovered it. It’s closer to writing a poem than it is to figuring out the value of pi or planck’s constant.

Math doesn’t exist to be useful. It just exists, regardless of your needs or wants.
