The other thread says it’s the onions, processed in a place where they don’t enforce proper bathroom hygiene it seems.
sounds reasonable. I mean, the patties get grilled through, right? right?
Yes, and the onions are raw. The diced ones are (at least when I worked there) reconstituted so they would have a less likely chance of holding onto a disease but their sliced onions are “fresh”.
Interesting timing: almost seems like the universe is trying to tell us something…
This has been going on for days now. I don’t understand why there are still questions about the source of the contamination.
Most likely because they are going slowly. This isn’t a body that moves quickly if there is uncertainty. Another complication is the Trump-era change which allows places producing the items to self-monitor, which certainly led to some less than honest reporting.
It’s not nice, but unless we have regs in place to more strongly control the entry, trying to figure out the issue looking at the end is a lot harder.
Any word on what Orange Turdman had for lunch during his publicity stunt?
its his usual diet anyway; why do you think he wears diapers?
this, exactly!
what is it people are saying?
everything donald ■■■■■ touches, turns to…
bloody diarrhea?"

Reminder that all these food recalls and food poisonings are a direct result of the orange shitgibbon administration gutting food safety regulations.
mj–spooks
Let me tell you, this is no joke.
I was in food service when he got elected. And I swear it was barely a month into his presidency when we got a call to throw out every bit of romaine lettuce we had on hand because of a recall. We’d literally just had a grocery run and had to throw several bags into the trash, which is a big fucking deal because we were not a a big chain or anything like that. We were a locally owned coffeehouse that had just barely managed to grow enough to have a couple locations and an offsite bakery/food prep kitchen.
This or equivalent proceeded to happen roughly once every 2-4 months until I left that job in 2022. We literally could not make it more than 6 months without having to toss a significant chunk of our inventory because of a recall. The really fun ones were when we knew the source of the recall and had to painstakingly go through our stores of the item in question and check the origin so that we could hopefully only throw out some of it rather than all of it.
Do not give this man a second chance to go at safety regulations. It’ll be the triangle shirtwaist factory all over again.
To be fair food inspection and handling has been a problem for decades and there are logistical issues that have plagued this for some time…
Then Trump spent 4 years throwing spanners into it and moving the FDA causing a brain drain as people were giving the option to quit or move cross country on top of all sorts of batshit issues he caused.
…and he had a publicity stunt using Mc Donald’s.
All your points are valid; I’m just sayin, the uncanny timing is straight out of someone’s badly written tv script.
This dumb timeline is really a fuckin’ doozy…
of course that’s all it is!
y’all go ahead and eat mickey d’s at every opportunity. be sure to get extra onions…
Something, something, Darwin awards…
Good, they are linking the two events. Trump brings sickness where he goes.
Oh god yeah. I gave up being surprised by this time line.
