Melania Trump's convention speech plagiarized from Michelle Obama

Just in case the numbers haven’t been made clear (From The Hill):

According to Turnitin, there is a 1 in 1 trillion chance that two writers would write the same 16-word sequence by coincidence. The longest matching sequence of words between the Trump and Obama speeches was 23 words.

Little late to the party, but the numbers stand. By far the best part of this shitshow has been Manafort’s absolute nonsensical spin about the plagiarized bit of speech being nothing more than ‘common words used to express shared American values’.

Isn’t she married to John Barron?

edited to add: shoot, I meant John Miller. And several other posters already made similar jokes anyway. Well…great minds think alike, right?

Yup. I’m a little slow today, in more ways than one!

Actually it isn’t. That’s because you can’t calculate relative magnitudes between finite and transfinite numbers. The paradox is that although the first transfinite number is the order of all counting numbers, it is not itself a counting number. This is like the set of all sets paradox.

You may be. I am not so sure about over here.

Apparently, Ivanka Trump tweeted out

But, if you actually look at the dresses, what Ivanka wears and what Ivanka sells are quite different.

I usually try to avoid opining on what women in political contexts are wearing (sexist double standards and all) but I guess it’s OK if they’re the ones sending out the “buy my outfit!” Tweets.
