so many questions. when they interviewed the man who claimed to live there, did they ask him about the bathtub filled with concrete and covered with coffee grounds?
According to the story, they questioned him the day before discovering the body. Likely they had to go get a warrant to search, and he fled before they returned and discovered the remains in the tub.

I don’t have a lot of experience hiding murder victims, but wouldn’t burial in the back yard have been more discrete?
Digging a grave-sized hole in the backyard and dumping a body-sized bag into it is the kind of thing that could pique the curiosity of nosey neighbors. And Hawaii Loa Ridge is an HOA, so you know there are going to be nosey neighbors. They might even be more upset about the unauthorized landscaping than about the murder.

At that age I wonder if he ever saw the 1990 Dick Tracy movie. The main bad guy had a ritual he did for disposing of bodies after giving the victims a concrete “bath.” But the trick is to dispose of the concrete block in the river afterwards.
As this involves a real-life murder I’ll refrain from linking to a video clip though.
