None of the shots required for 7th grade were provided for free.

If your state is requiring shots not covered under the act, there should be provision for making them free.
My state has socialized medicine, so this was not an issue for us, though when teachers gave us 1 day notice to bring in empty half-gallon milk cartons I suggested that they should subsidize that too.
I agree. That doesn’t change the fact that what “should be” is not what IS for a lot of people in this country.
