Oh, commercials for horror movies! There was one in the very late seventies or very early eighties. I have never been able to figure out the name of it, forgettable, forgotten generic October shlock, I’m sure. But I to this day remember a car driving on a long narrow road closely lined with trees on both sides (as many of the old dirt roads around our house were) with the silhouette of a woman at the top of a rise in the headlights, and another scene of a man and woman cavorting in the bathtub: the woman ducks under the water, and when her head comes up her face is a skull.
Also a snippet of a Twilight Zone episode where mirrors would suddenly show the faces of other people. I still get sketched out when I’m alone somewhere and there’s a big mirror in the room.
