Well duh it’s got a strutting Goldbloom.
My most prized possession: the actual, screen-used Blue Blaze Irregulars cap worn by Bill Henderson (as Casper Lindley) in TAoBBAtED.
Came for this, leaving satisfied.
I judge that to be the work of a happy mutant.
How’d you get it? It is amazing. I am in awe!!
Thanks! You can find the other newsletters at the Buckaroo Banzai FAQ here: http://www.figmentfly.com/bb/publicity5.html
That ending to Time bandits actually freaked me out as a kid. I honestly don’t know if it’s any good. I should watch it again.
Thanks! I got it the most boring way possible, sorry to say – about ten years ago I won it at a Profiles in History auction. The really cool thing about it (or gross thing, depending on your level of squeamishness) is that I found several of Henderson’s hairs still in the cap From another source I also have an (apparently) non-screen-used coat probably made as back-up wardrobe for Lithgow, but the provenance isn’t as ironclad on that piece. The cap is my prize. It’s a weird feeling playing my favorite movie and then during Casper’s scenes looking down and seeing an actual piece of the movie sitting under my projector screen.
I’ve always been partial to Richard E. Grant’s “evil absolute!” in Warlock
I love these two movies, and both those scenes. Which I think probably does nothing more than give an indication of how old I am.
It seems the early 80’s were the golden era of declaring things to be evil.
The true irony being. . . .EARTHA KITT BECAME EVIL AND SCARY BEYOND ALL REASON!
I knew Time Bandits was the second entry before I even started scrolling. And Buckaroo Banzai would have been my other choice as well. Loved that movie. So unapologetically weird.
Also, my favorite part of the evil doll episode of the Simpsons:
