I mean, it seems like the dude’s activities were known. I’d have tripped him.
You’d injure someone over a few iPhones? That speaks more to your character than his. He didn’t hurt anyone. He fucked with an evil megacorporation. That deserves at least passivity, if not help.
I don’t know whether to be amused or concerned that you think so highly of a criminal. Should all criminals with petty concerns be similarly protected and supported? What an interesting society you promote.
I didn’t say I’d beat the guy up, I’d certainly assist with detainment. A lawful and ordered society is something I’m generally in favor of, I guess I missed the part where this guy was being harassed unnecessarily? Perhaps these videos are faked? It’s pretty convincing. Maybe I missed the part where the mall cops kidnapped his family, or Apple repossessed his house?
You said you’d trip him, that carries with it a significant risk of harm to a person.
He wasn’t, by the way, a criminal. One cannot have that designation until and unless they are convicted. Have you so little respect for the law?
crim·i·nal
[ˈkrimənl]
NOUN
a person who has committed a crime:
“these men are dangerous criminals”
Certainly if I were a judge it would be inappropriate for me to call him a criminal. As a citizen with video evidence of him performing what is unmistakably a crime, I think that I’m rather safe calling him such. If the guy had perhaps been charged with shoplifting with no evidence or whatever, sure, but let’s remember: we’re discussing a dude smashing phones in a store with a metal ball, so your attempt at hilarious subtlety fails.
Those iPhones know what they did.
For instance.
“Aujourd’hui, mon iphone est mort.”
So how does the EU not make laws? Are you engaged in some kind of freeman on the land troll? Or will you accept that the EU does, in fact, make laws.
Which it does.
Yes.
(Or, if you felt I stretched the metaphor to far, feel free to replace my previous post with “Use whatever you like, but don’t be a douchenozzle about it, @CarlMud.”)
I just think it’s great that the Apple employees know the real value of the products and could not give a shit if the whole lot was cannon-balled.
My brain is imagining their reasoning…“Oh, certainemant, Je ne donne pas une merde for ze flimsy glass zings”.
TIL that making non-serious jokes can make you a douchenozzle, but name-calling is perfectly okay.
Guess he’s really upset about them removing the headphone jack.
Haven’t read the comments yet. Now I’m going to, and count how many people made this same joke. I’m guessing I’m the fifth.
Edit:
Damn. Only third. I’m surprised at you, Boingers.
Actually, what would be “convenient” is to simply not shoot the video at all. But since someone is going to the trouble to do so, they could at least make the minimal effort of properly orienting the camera first.
If you’re the reason I’m getting video reference shot in the first place, I might conceivably do so.
Otherwise, probably not.
