Here comes another doping scandal.
In Italy, “spelling” is not a subject taught in school, because Italian spelling is (almost) perfectly regular: if you can hear a word, you can spell it. So I’m guessing they don’t have spelling bees.
Most countries don’t have spelling bees. And nobody misses a thing.
I’ve always wondered: how do spelling bees accommodate the hearing impaired?
I could probably Google it, but I’m pretty sure I’ve become the laziest man in Belgium.
Quite ironic that the current director’s first name (Paige) is flagged as a spelling mistake by my spellchecker.
