The story came to light when the New York Times published a photo in May of the inverted American flag flying weeks earlier, on January 17, 2021.

Records obtained by CNN show that Baden’s then-boyfriend called police on February 15, 2021, to complain about Martha-Ann Alito, accusing her of “unprompted” harassment.

The real crime, here, is why none of this was reported by any media until 2024. They just let this shit slide for over three years. WAPO and the NYT knew about this story three years ago and they sat on it. Fucking bastards.

i’ve been wondering the same thing. even if the major media purposely slept on it, there must’ve been someone with a social media account and a camera phone in the area to notice it and post about it. please note that I’m not insinuating that it never happened – it clearly did – but just that it’s incredible that sometimes things are able to fly under the radar.
