I am instantly leery of any study claiming 100% anything. (And looking for images of pecans up noses yielded nothing at all, bummer.) I would also be interested in the tolerance of the sensation of having a schnoz full of goo. Seems like that would be uncomfortable. But I look forward to further info!
I’m curious how long a spray would provide protection. Minutes holds little value. Hours could be useful depending on how much you notice. Days seems unlikely.
They hedged it with the word almost, so throw your incredulity aside.
I’m no ENT, but it sounds like it would make it difficult to breathe through your nose. Sounds like a ploy to turn us all into mouth breathers.
But you can still inhale germs through your mouth, so maybe a few squirts down the gullet, too. Can’t get sick if you can’t breathe.
They have not studied PCANS directly in humans
Seems like an important caveat
Copying the tactics of corporate media will surely leave them in the dust.

:: groans :: You sir, get the dad pun of the day award.
If you shove them up your nose that’ll certainly help you keep from getting sick from airborne illnesses; mostly because no one will want to get close enough to you to be within the infection zone!
Wait, I thought the answer was HAIR. I mean everything says that nose hair is there to capture germs. Personally I think that’s a complete crock. If there was some evolutionary drive for nose hair to help capture germs then my kids should be sprouting hair like a Chia-pet. Or at least once they hit the teenager years and start to grow body hair…not when they crest over 40.
I mean, I might could deal with this, but I’d rather mask up with a real respirator mask than spend hours with a fake booger.
Yup, this is where the big difference in drug making is versus science - in vitro vs in vivo. All sorts of stuff happens in vitro, i.e. petri dishes and the like, that isn’t reproduceable in humans.
Don’t forget in vino
