What is that last one? Mister Peanut? These paintings are wonderful, but baffling.

EDIT: Aha, surfers. Are they headed for a very secluded beach, or some kind of kudzu-surfing?

Reminds me of pictures by Michael Sowa.
Sowa’s aren’t as photorealistic and with a touch more weirdness to them, but the mood the paintings set are somewhat similar. YMMV, of course.

From the description and thumbnails, I thought this was going to be photos by my favorite photographer, Gregory Crewdson. Pretty similar stuff!
