AT&T says trust me? How about a little transparency?
An important thing to remember about this is that when the NSA screwed up payment, AT&T immediately stopped co-operating. Then when the payments were restored, AT&T started their illegal spy machine right up again.
Thus, claims that AT&T trampled on the constitution out of misguided patriotism are not even slightly believable. They did it for the money.
