The way they lowered it… yeah, have fun going speedily through tight hairpin bends on alpine roads with the front tyres scraping the insides of the wheel housings.

(Disclaimer: going speedily through tight hairpin bends on alpine roads is my benchmark for “is it fun to drive”. YMMV.)

Skimming through the article in Popular Mechanics and the linked one in The War Zone my conclusion is that
1 the next patent filed will be for some sort of flux capacitator
2 Salvatore Pais has a DeLorean in pristine condition stashed away

Yes, there is some very, very clever stuff here that may push the envelope. Definitely worth some serious research in that direction.
But right now all I see is a lot of blurb (from Popular Mechanics) and something that might be a (vital) component in a future fusion reactor. A component that is a variation on existing concepts, as it is also about generating massive EM fields to contain the plasma.
What I don’t see yet is a working fusion reactor, compact or huge.
