And why would they not be useless? Their expertise is in capital, not engineering.
They are my broadband provider but they bought the company with all its tech from another company, contract out the technical work, and just run the customer service: ie marketing and billing. The company they bought the infrastructure from bought it from a state owned company who built the best broadband in the country until they were forced to sell it due to EU competition laws.
