That was an easy guess. I found the Massachusetts one odd; it didn’t include New York as one of the haters?

Having grown up in NY and lived in MA for 15 years- that rivalry is really one sided.

Boston hates NY and thinks as them as major rivals - NY thinks Boston is just another small city over there in the hinterlands.

They should do one on intrastate rivalry, even though some are obvious.

I guessed wrong, but probably listened to “Mississippi Goddam” too many times. Still, the missing data for a lot of the states made me doubt the whole thing. Lots of states had N/A for haters or population that hates them, yet they were ranked with states that had plenty of both. In the top ten, those numbers didn’t match up with the order of states on the list.

It’s human interest, not science. How do you feel about ribcage xylophones?

Yeah - it’s a bullshit methodology- but people only look at these things for amusement.

SJ should’ve seceded years ago, and left the north to be universally hated by all. That would make central into the DMZ, I guess. :woman_shrugging:t4:

Are you from Mississippi? If so, that was a joke.

OOOOOOO! My family is all NJ and they feel exactly the opposite! :grimacing: Last time I talked to one of my cousins, he was blaming SJ and the Jersey shore types for all their ills!

No, worse, old England. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow, I guess it’s different when it comes to reputation before and after coronavirus. TV shows really skew perception of places, and I can’t think of a case where any state really loved how they seemed on TV. I’m sure folks in Delaware were glad about how this worked out:

Ok, I’m wondering if there’s some best county lists out there. I can’t stop watching folks on Escape to the Country. Too many great destinations to choose just one.
