About websites on gravestones. I was watching the film Holy Motors by Leos Carax who recently made the Sparks musical Annette.
Itâs from 2012 and itâs got a structure like say Bunuelâs Phantom of Liberty with a barely there framing narrative around a bunch of absurd set ups. Anyway the main character is rampaging through a graveyard and all the gravestones say âvisit my websiteâŚâ
I paused the film and typed the first one there. Itâs still live!
I guess the film does fit into âodd stuffâ pretty well. If I watched it again I doubt I could stop myself checking all the websites. Iâm sure they left some surprises in the tombstones.
Oh, that Firefly Fact still hurts, even after all this timeâŚ
And so even if a future archaeologist figures it out, thereâs still link rot to contend with.

With the right motivation, a lot is possible:
More giraffe research that doesnât mention penis jousting. Did I dream it?
Often the aggressor* nation was called the âArianiansâ . Certainly not a play on the word âIranianâ. Some of these MOUT sites were quite elaborate with fake mosques and calls to prayer being played over speakers. Even the road signs between the villages would be in Arabic or Pashto.
*aggressor used here to mean the nation opposite the US forces in the exercises.
Oh yes. Isso mesmo!
I decided to post this here as I was impressed with the level of detail of the environments.
Just like the F5 fighters that used to act as MIGs.
Yep. Thatâs Philly.
