Boeing successfully flies unmanned autonomous military âwingmanâ aircraft that may become pilotâs buddy
Boeing this week successfully completed its first official test flight of its autonomous uncrewed military airplane.
Nicknamed the Loyal Wingman, the 38-feet-long aircraft was able to autonomously whiz around the skies of the Australian outback crewless. Having said that, it was under the careful watch of a test pilot in a control station at the Woomera Range Complex, a military aerospace facility in South Australia, about 450km from Adelaide.

Personal Odd Stuff:
So, after a recent surgery (out patient non critical) I am being bombarded with customer service survey texts and emails from from the anesthesiologist in regards to customer satisfaction.
Well, I donât remember a thing. So, 100% satisfied? Why is there a survey? Well, this guy remembers half of his surgery so, 50% satisfied?
Odd indeed.

- Widowmaker (not the only aircraft called that)
- VTOSL (anagram of STOVL) - Vertical Take Off, Sudden Landing
- Twirly Whirly Death Machine
- SSSS - Single Sortie to Safety Standown (heard it at one squadron, didnt seem to be widespread)

These âanti-governmentâ folks are such effing morons! How would they feel if their food was tainted, or their childrenâs toys were covered in lead paint? Or, or, orâŚ
Itâs as if they truly have no idea how much work it would take to live a safe life without some entity making sure every fucking thing wasnât horribly pillaged for profit. And what we have now is not at all good enough, but even this they complain about. Makes me want to pull my hair out.
