Yeah, I wasnāt sure how to interpret that one. At first I thought, āoh wow, weāre the last ones who will remember what it was like to live without these things,ā but that wonāt be for a while.
I kind of took it as meaning the shift happened while our brains were still developing (prior to 25 yo) and during the time most of us were in the process of finding our careers.

Has Erin Brockovich gone off the proverbial deep end? I mean, chemicals are scary, but a lot more than that accounts for low birth ratesā¦
The end of humankind? It may be coming sooner than we think, thanks to hormone-disrupting chemicals that are decimating fertility at an alarming rate around the globe.

From the headline, it looks like sheās just trying to get the attention of those with the most power and financial resources to do something about the problem. She probably noticed how research, regulations, and legislation tend to get different levels of support, depending on who is affected.

What āreproductive crisisā does she mean? We already have 7 billion people on the planetā¦ Iām no malthusian, but on the other hand, we really have no need to go back to families being large, either.
Chemicals in the environment are pretty bad, of course, and they can have negative effects on public health (including fertility), but unless we have a nuclear war or the next pandemic is far more virulent with a higher rate of death, I donāt think weāre in danger of offing ourselves.
