I completely agree. I dislike the design so much I will only talk on the phone with earbuds in so I don’t have to hold it to my ear.

It’s near impossible to “shoulder” a smart phone like we used to do with receivers.
If you try, you hang up on whoever you’re talking to… they are just not made for phone calls.
My dad had one of those shoulder holders for his office phone. It was so useful.
