No good ones. Sheโs a hard-driving personality, but that was always described in a positive way to me. Sheโs always seemed fairly โnormalโ for the spectrum of academic social types. Iโve never heard anything really negative about her, which is rare in a profession that loves gossip. This is pretty bizarre.
ETA this covers more ground. The allegations of โabusiveโ seem way out of character to me. I wonder, at her age, if there arenโt health problems that might cause something like that.
Health problems got her fired? That also seems weird. (And discriminatory.) Why wouldnโt she just say she retired early because of a health issue?
No, no, sorry. I mean that when we see changes in personality in older faculty members (going from being a normally pleasant person to being angry or erratic, for example) health issues is what we think of first. I have no clue whatโs going on here, and I donโt mean to speculate about her situationโjust that this is always a concern.
