Oh sure, attack the messenger, but it’s not going anywhere!!
No, no, hear us out, say boffins: Foot fungus to measure your walk
Four researchers at the Unconventional Computing Laboratory at the University of West England have enlisted fungi to measure how people walk.
Normally, people try to keep fungi from making a home in their shoes, and they may resort to anti-fungal sprays, ointments, or the like to keep fungi from getting the upper hand and ensuring stinky feet.
But Anna Nikolaidou, Neil Phillipsa, Michail-Antisthenis Tsompanasa, and Andrew Adamatzkya argue that fungi embedded within the insoles of shoes offer advantages over existing “smart insoles” that rely on semiconductor-based force sensitive resistors.

There is a wing of the white evangelical movement working hard to save it from the dark place it’s gone… I just hope they’re making progress with their brothers and sisters in christ.
But just another reminder that we can often be surprised by what’s actually happening as opposed to the culture wars media narrative we’re fed and far too many people on both sides are just eager to lap up. Not that I’m trying to “both sides” this shit, because I’m not, but we really should look for the cracks in this movement and do what we can to encourage it, as that’s how the light gets in, so said Leonard C.

That seems low, though maybe swearing internally doesn’t count

I’ve been beating this drum here for a while, because I know that there are plenty of people who can be persuaded that a fascist theocracy is not in their best interest, even if they are white evangelicals. There is a hard-core of Trumpists in the movement, but it’s not even of majority of that, I don’t think. They are just voting because they see people being hostile to them (for voting for Trump) and feel attacked and are doubling down. But if we can convince them that they’re being co-opted by particular interests to vote for fascists, we can wake them up, I think.
The methodology involved self-reporting via a survey. Direct observation or recordings may have yielded different results methinks.
It’s making me want to see this map compared with daily watchers/ readers of news or sporting events.
