By balling up a piece of tin foil and putting it in your dishwasher your silverware will come out sparkling clean and shiny. I know, it sounds a bit far fetched, but give it a try. You may be surprised at the result. I was. There’s a chemical reaction that takes place and don’t ask me to explain it. Just try it!
I haven’t tried it yet.
Aluminum foil is part of the concoction (with baking soda and boiling/hot water) to take tarnish off of sterling silver, so there probably is some truth to what they’re saying.
Works.
You can also buy commercial products which are basically little rods of aluminium with a brass(?) core. Seem to work better - they last a lot longer, anyway. I have one in my dishwasher right now!

Let’s go walkies in suburbia.
As a side note, I was at the last two PSB shows in their tour co-headlined with New Order earlier this month for their stops in Seattle and Vancouver BC, and they were absolutely amazing. Neil Tennant sounds just as good as ever, and the production of their show is top notch.
I had last seen them in 2009 and their show then was brilliant so my expectations were super high. I was thrilled to see they hadn’t lost a step.
New Order was great too but they are such a different aesthetic it’s quite a contrast in performances, especially when seeing them back to back. PSB is so polished and theatrical, and NO is … definitely not that. But, they still put on a super high energy and fun show so it’s all good.
I’ve been meaning to post more about it but I’m procrastinating on sorting through the literal thousands of photos I took from the two shows.
(Sadly there was no surprise Getting Away With It resurrection.)

You’re only pretty as you drink.
