Interesting to see that in a recent study my hometown of Castlebar has been rated the best town from which to work remote in Ireland.
Maybe Iāll move home again.
And leave this glorious utopia that is the USA?!

Iām glad to have options
Hell, yes!
Thatās why Iām officially Irish now. FBR through my grandfather from Ballinamore. Putting in for the passport now too.
Portugal is sounding nice as a retirement place. Even if just for a while. Certainly if the US goes full Nazi. Took three years, because COVID.
I wish I did. Ireland sounds a whole lot nicer than the US
Yep. Got two friends with NZ as their escape plan
Luck of the ancestors. The other 3 wouldnāt work. One doesnāt allow. One only works for me if Scotland leaves Terf Island & one I already had as theyāre a colony of the US.
Maybe it did?
Who would know?
Really, Iād like to know.
Aliens, cats and dogs living together?
They broke it out into its own segment:
To the zoologist that they interview, Mathias Osvath, they were people. (The pause after āthree-year-oldā, the way he says āold manāā¦)
So what leisure amenities does it have there? Sligo is no. 10, but itās got beaches!
Sadly my Irish ancestors are too distant to work for meā¦
Its well positioned with very walkable trails and bike paths. Those are pretty big draws to the area. Theres a national museum just a few miles from downtown, right off the bike trail. Lots of lakes, forests, and Castlebar isnāt all that far removed from the beaches in Westport. Plenty of fishing, and kayaking is becoming more popular too.
Sounds delightful, actually!
