Hmm. Perhaps US yellow is the term to use? Because that kind isn’t better imo.
I need someone from Dublin to tell me how accurate these are…
I have been to Cork, but only for a day…
Yoink!
Uncannily so.
Yeah, the Black Hole is at the top of the shopping centre, or at least it was the last time I was up in Dun Laoghaire like 8 years ago.
And the Forty Foot is exactly like how he describes it.
Oh hey, he did one on my neighbourhood that’s very accurate (and is a bit more on the nose and political than his weirder recent ones).
In my defence, I grew up here and moved away and then back, so I’m not like those colonising hispters. I’m not. I’m not.
He’s not wrong!
Pssst…want some diesel cheap?
Byoc, bring your own cup
The name of the movie is gonna be called Polly Pocket And The Magic Of Casual Anti-Semitism
I hope Mattel and Hollywood didn’t learn the wrong lessons from the Barbie’s movie’s success.
Barbie “ grossed an astonishing $380 million worldwide in its first five days in theaters,” Production cost $100m, marketing cost $150m, it’s got a lot more profit to make.
Yet in five years time there will still be people getting accounts from the studio saying that it has yet to recoup costs. And with two sequels made or in production with a host of spin-offs being made with the profits as they eat their way down through this success until the whole thing collapses leaving behind the bloated parasitic oligarch class rolling around on their bellies belching money fumes.
…and accounting like that is one of the reasons why Hollywood is shutdown by a rare tandem strike right now
I think they’re assessing too highly the potential of their other properties.
Still - a Barney/Major Matt Matson crossover sounds interesting.
Neat!
One of the jokes in that first one is about someone who is O’Connor adjacent. [Time of joke queued up]
