They probably tour down tons of historically relevant sites to build that thing, though. I know, for one example of their “renovations” in the holy city of Mecca, in the complex that houses the kaaba, they tore down an Ottoman era pillar that marked a place where the Prophet himself was said to have once stood. They are destroying any traces that the Ottomans and the Hashemites (the Jordanian royal family, whose roots go back to the days of the founding of Islam, and who until the British handed it over to the house of Saud, were the caretakers of Mecca and Medina) once controlled any part of the the Arabian peninsula, but MOST especially the holy cities.
Probably so. They like to pretend that everything they do is inspired by their faiths, the assholes.
