Recently I learned that Sir Mix-a-Lot is big in the CB scene (under the handle Prime Minista) and makes custom CB amps and other RF equipment as a sideline.
Yup. He’s an actually a pretty big nerd. He is/used to be a ham operator, and had/has a side hustle making and selling electronics. (Among his many other side hustles outside of music.)
He’s also a genuinely nice dude and a fixture around the Seattle area. You can often see him at car shows and other events around town. When I met him a while back, he was super gracious and had no problem posing for pictures or chatting about music and stuff.
A+ mutant material.
Sometimes the bar gets you- sometimes you run over and kill a baby bear and dispose of the body in the middle of Manhattan because you’re an asshole.
