The investigation determined Hooghkirk and Hubbard dismantled and damaged approximately .4 miles of track, which were then sold as scrap to various local scrap yards.
The damage to the track has since been repaired.
The 12-mile stretch of track within the state park is an active track which runs passenger cars year-round, including the very popular “North Pole Express,” DEEP said.

Crows don’t appear to be all that sensitive to UV (but are to regular violet), according to what little I could scrape from the interwebs. At least this site cites sources.
Of course the bird pictured is a Starling anyway.
