Heh.
If thereâs one thing they do well, itâs whipping up a controversy.
The beaches will be open from 6am to 11am and from 5pm to 8pm for âexercise onlyâ, the cityâs website said.
What kind of imbeciles think itâs better to let people bunch up for eight hours instead of letting them naturally space their visits throughout 24 hours? Oh yeah, the kind of imbeciles that disregarded public safety and medical science and reopened the beaches in the first place.
Iâm not sure people are going to maintain social distancing on the beach, or that the idea that enforcement of miles of beach is possible to do. I also think about the people that have to maintain the facilities, (showers, garbage, and the like.) and think that this sort of thing adds undo risk for those that are tasked with cleaning it all up.
As an aside though, itâs been pointed out by others, that all of these shots of people âgathering in large groupsâ are taken with telephoto lenses that make them appear closer together than they are. There is a certain amount of media playing this up, akin to the cropped shots of the so called âstay at home protestsâ.
But probably profitable. I doubt the DeVos are the only members of the billionaire bastards club involved.
Arranging the tactical hambeasts would be chickenfeed.
Making sure that the media covered it widely probably required a few calls in the right places. All these things to do when manufacturing a movement to give Trump the excuse to do what they want him to.
eta: Actually they only have to make it look good on Fox and OANN. This is all a display for the Truman Trump Show, where he gets his reality from.
The big takeaway from this, which you will never read, because it would offend against the highest principles of journamalism, is that De Santis âopening of the beachesâ is actually a sad-sack capitulation to the health specialists and epidemiology experts: no more principled resistance than the controlled opening of state parks everywhere else.
Iâm trying to imagine explaining what the hell a âBig Gulpâ is to Patrick Henry.
Looking at satellite images, high tides will result in at least 50% less walkable beach area. Access points will be bottlenecks. People are going to be too close together.
Which follows with what I stated above about maintaining and enforcing.
To repeat: my second point was media criticism, not policy criticism.
I like the y2k was real theory. Thatâs supposedly when the crystal cracked, and we shifted into this fuct timeline.
gross
Just one example,
The owner of the Ruthâs Chris Steak Houses chain got $20 million from the small business loan program, despite having more than 5,000 employees and $468 million in revenue last year. It is one of more than 50 publicly traded companies that have already disclosed nabbing nearly $250 million in PPP funds.

Iâm glad they qualified that with âmight beâ.
Talk by US/Canada lawmakers of probes seems to have prodded some action:
