PR is denying all cruise ships now unless they are willing to wait 2 days for the national guard to show and do individual screenings. Her ship is going up Florida now to arrive on Tuesday. Unconfirmed scuttlebutt on Twitter indicates that passengers may be required an additional 3 day quarantine. I’m not gonna lie when I say there’s a small sense of schadenfreude here.

A cousin wanted to come over today to see my 93 yr old mom. She was going to come over last Thursday, but was feeling under the weather(!) Erm, gently persuaded her to postpone it for later. She is a nurse, but she’s got grandkids that she takes care of, and who knows who they’ve been in contact with. (One of mom’s doctors has already cancelled an appointment for next week.)
When I go out for necessary stuff, bet your ass I’m careful to sanitize right after picking it up and wash when I get home.

I agree, none at all. I get that being a working musician is a marginal living, none the less, there are more important things happening right now that necessitate making sacrifices to ensure your fans don’t end up sick… I’d suspect that the fanbase for RHH skews a bit older, and it might include some who are at higher risk.

The CDC is a branch of the federal government, I still don’t think they should check with the Whitehouse but rather coordinate with them. That is a far cry from private doctors having to lie to the public because it will embarrass the party and then living in fear of persecution or extermination. I guess if you consider every doctor in China to be an employee of the government because it is a socialist state then maybe it could be paralleled.
