Virginia is embracing the idea of privatizing roads and adding occupancy based tolls in order to “reduce traffic”. In the past few days peak tolls reached an insane rate of $40.00 on I66 so, now only the rich get to work on time. The poors are forced to make choices.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest where there are no tolls whatsoever. It’s weird going to the east coast and I avoid driving there at all costs. It’s just too much of a pain in the ass.
