Thanks for this. I’ve been on a comics tear. It’s funny because my favorite thing right now is Monstress, and at first I mis-read the headline.

I haven’t read this is heard of it, but it looks awesome. Question: volume one is about a ten-year-old girl. Would it actually be appropriate for a girl who’s turning 11 and is a voracious reader, or is it aimed at older readers?

I went and read it at the library. It’s awesome, but I’ve put it on my “books for the kids” list to give to my oldest when she is 13 or 14, it would be rather much for an 11-year-old.
