I’ve been forced to listen to a lot of American (a language superficially similar to English) lately via the podcasts my girlfriend listens to, and one of the things that drives me crazy is the constant use of present tense to describe events that have already happened.
I’m feeling that here with the title of this post. Why the present tense when “sank” would actually make it comprehensible?
As a Texan, I sympathize.
