I’ve played with cameras for decades, but usually shooting inanimate objects or landscapes or critters. My attempts at portraits have suuuuuuuuucked. And he covered many of the reasons why.

Here’s 7 minutes of your life back.

  1. Jawline out
  2. Shoot your best side
  3. Squinch your eyes a bit
  4. Show a hint of smile
  5. Keep your camera a bit lower than your subject’s face

Several years ago, I saw this same (I think) video and incorporated those tips every time I saw a camera pointed at me. BAM. I look a whole lot better. Seriously, it works.

Phhhhh… 15 years ago we were taking pictures with film or digital cameras and we’d hold it up in the air, high up and get that definition by stretching our necks up to look at the camera.
it works with mobiles too :slight_smile:
