I never noticed the similarity in appearance between Forry Ackerman and Carl Barks before - at least superficially, after they got older.
The time to have done this would have been before Ackerman was forced to sell his collection and the Ackermansion and move to an assisted care home, back in 2002. But nobody in the science fiction world cared enough to organize a campaign to save the Ackermansion and its collection back then. It would have been a museum and a landmark then. Now it’s just a big empty house, because what made it special was its contents, not the building itself.
