Pilot's view of landing in New Zealand

First time arriving in New Zealand had my flight attempting and failing to land in Wellington twice before being redirected to Christchurch due to bad weather. Half the passengers were puking at this point, and I was so jetlagged it felt like I was in some nightmare. Welcome to NZ!

very nice view via pilots eye

I’m flying into Queenstown for the first in a week and a half. I’m feeling anxious now, but I have survived a number of Wellington landings so should be OK. The most impressive landing I’ve ever had was into Salt Lake City in the middle of winter. The mountains covered in snow were one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

“Caution: terrain.
Pull up.
Pull up.”

Thanks to all the great pilots out there who stick those tricky landings.
