And it’s turning out that microplastics are a lot more alarming than we previously realized, including breaching the blood-brain barrier - and they’re ubiquitous in the environment (and will remain so, even if we eliminated all plastic use). It’s fun to be in the middle of multiple ecological apocalypses!

I’d be a lot more conflicted if it were mosquitoes.
More. Entangling insects is generally a problem, with all sorts of ecological implications. But if it were impairing mosquitoes, well, that’d be awfully nice.
