The strap across the top front of each shoe provides stability to really lock you in.
The fact that lock-in is a feature is doing a lot to sell me on the verisimilitude of this collaboration.
Also, any actual, organic, meat-human that emits the sequence “I’m excited about continuing to partner with a brand that I grew up loving” should probably be inspected to be sure that they don’t have an emotion engine crudely grafted into the void left by normal affective response systems. Because that’s just creepy.
