Police say the Austin bomber killed himself as they closed in on him

Sounds too much like something Talkie the Toaster would offer one for breakfast.
But then again I’m a bit of a waffle man.

:musical_note: Now spread democracy by dropping a bomb
On a terrorist with no shoes or socks
I reckon, history teaches us the lesson
The bigger terrorist is the one with the bigger weapons :musical_note:

Christofascist terrorist. Great. Not the first, but could be the first in a new wave.

You know, I don’t recall us having a hard time labeling McVeigh a terrorist. Nor the Unabomber (who had an ideology to his madness, but similar techniques). Maybe you got to up your game to “earn” the label in some people’s mind.

There are different kinds of terrorists. Someone who is trying to blow up random people and making people fear picking up their new Lego Boba Fett from Amazon is still a terrorist.

The Onion continues its transition from lightly cynical, humorous satire to dark, bitter what-the-fuckery.

Yes, it’s a new shift in thinking since 9/11. I mean hell, the Vegas shooter caused injury to more people (over 800, with about half that from direct gun fire, and 60 deaths) and than died in Oklahoma City (168 died, but over 600 injured), more total injuries from the Vegas shooting too. but somehow, it’s not a terrorist attack. It’s such blatant bullshit.

Doing satire in a world that tries its damnedest to outdo your efforts is not easy.
