I think it’s that they have a shared concept of economic morality. The pope has talked about it rather extensively since taking office and Sanders has run his entire campaign on that notion. I don’t think there is any conspiracy theory subtext here… just shared political interests.
No, see, it’s a JEW and a PAPIST (the ULTIMATE Papist at that) getting together. This is illuminati level shit right there. I bet in their secret meeting the Queen Bey will show up too… just all secret like, you know:
Like O’bummer’s peace prize. It’s a gamble by the rest of the world to make US less colonial. Because the real prize of the US winning the Cold War was the right to keep on colonizing with impunity, and some of our Presidents are less ruthless about exercising that muscle.
Where’s Clinton’s invitation?
I think that just goes to show she’s not actually part of the REAL Illuminati, but is merely a plant to distract us from the real heart of power in this world - the trifecta of the Pope, Bernie Sanders, and Beyonce! And the new Black Panthers, duh!
Black panthers? White sheep?? The Queen B?!
You know, I’ve been struggling mightily to discern the meaning behind of all your sheepy illuminaty, bouncy Beyoncy references and so on.
But now I think I got it! What you’re really doing here is reading a book with a fake cover on the subway. wink wink
You can’t fool me!!
Okay, now that he’s won in Wyoming:
So how many times in a row does Sanders have to win before the corporate media finally start paying him some serious attention?
See? Bernie is just another 1%'er!!!
Ha! Thanks. I mean, ugh – the most ridiculous part:
Unlike the 99 percent of theater-goers who waited months to see the show with Sanders on Friday, Sanders and his wife, Jane, were granted house seats at the Richard Rogers Theater. Broadway shows typically reserve a small number of seats for VIPs, usually family of the cast and crew, and occasional visiting dignitaries.
The tickets didn’t come cheap, however. Sanders paid $167 each, The New York Times reported.
HO. LEE. CRAP!
$167, can you imagine?! (Actually, yes I can, sounds pretty close to normal for decent Broadway seats to a popular show these days.)
The lengths that the corporate press will go to in order to brand Bernie some kind of elitist – literally part of the 1%! – and to NOT do that with the almost infinitely wealthier Mr. and Mrs. Clinton… I’m just…
I’m trying to remember the most my wife and I have paid to see a show or something. Something like $60 a seat to see Macbeth at the Berkeley Rep with Frances McDormand and Conleth Hill (aka Lord Varys or “the Spider”) recently.
Ah, sucks to be a poor, eh? Not like that fat cat Bernie! Who simply refuses to show us his tax returns. I bet that’s because they’d lead the way to all sorts of offshore havens, and private islands, and three-elevator garages and golden toilets and such. The nerve of that elitist one-percenter!
An interesting question comes up in this clip – if Sanders loses, what will he demand from the Democratic establishment in exchange for not running on his own, which would very likely torpedo Mrs. Clinton in the general, and for trying to convince his movement to vote for her?
As he says here in answer to that question, “What are the Democratic establishment gonna do for us?”
Not I think that the Dem establishment would necessarily keep any promises they make to him and his movement. I wonder though, if he loses, what can he and his people do to better insure that it does keep them?
I’m telling you, this guy is protected from up on high by the Prince of Darkness.
I love that question.
The national DSA or one of the more organized regional commiittees might consider targeting one or three local campaigns in conservative “stronghold” areas suffering from a screwed up local practice.
I nominate the Central Valley in California. There’s a portfolio of issues there that could resonate loudly and relevantly in the rest of the country if resolved. Follow the Mississippi Summer model.
For example, Kern County was profiled in The Guardian as the worst county in the U.S. for officer shootings. It’s a very conservative county and disproportionately governed by Anglos though the majority of the population there is Latino. Rep. Kevin McCarthy is from Bakersfield in Kern County.
Why not schedule a summer DSA voter registration drive in Kern County en Espanol on the issue of officer shootings? Bring student and volunteer interns from all over the country.
Recruit local bilingual DSA candidates to contest every key local office relevant to police oversight. Campaign until Bakersfield runs out of racist policies to inspire new recruits and votes.
Online, communities could (digitally) nominate their proposed local campaigns. At a conference, check the budget and consensus, pick one, recruit, train, launch, implement, report, evaluate … then start over.
As long as evangelicals stay bossy and corporations stay greedy, there’s free recruiting.
Err, and Kim Davis was a public relations coup? Or the pedophile priests?
Vatican’s not particularly adept with PR and they have a lot of internal strife from people inside the Vatican who aren’t happy with how this Pope is doing things.
This was more along the lines of probably someone at the Vatican thought it would be a good idea to invite a candidate to a Vatican conference to speak. Without really asking the pope first. Nor nailing down how Sanders would be allowed to phrase things. And whoever his higher up didn’t make sure that happened either.
That’s almost not certainly accidental…
As always, you’ve found me out! I can’t fool you!
