I know hijabs are a form of religious observance and not a fashion statement, but they’re really chic nonetheless.

I know, I watch a lot of 1930s/1940s movies, and a lot of the more “exotic” female characters (“exotic” meaning any female who wasn’t the white-bread heroine) wear beautiful hijab-style scarves. And when I worked in a laundry doing inventory, we got some absolutely gorgeous hijabs.
