The little egret was kind to me and seemed to pose for the photos. But I think the bird was actually taking advantage of the foam from the waves to get the tatuís. It needed to be perfect quiet in order to get its prey.
These small crustaceans are often buried in the sand of the beaches and are much appreciated by seabirds and some people as well.
