I used to have a 5 pound kitteh that could jump to the top of the fridge from the floor. One of her nicknames was Spring-Loaded.
Caught this widdle possum snuffling through my eggplants. Not to worry, it was relocated quickly to the nearby forest preserve where it can eat all the ticks it wants.

Everyone else I know has seen them here (southern AZ), but I havenât yet: they stay away from town, and interestingly seem to like a little elevation from the desert floor.
Although these animals are common in areas of Atlantic Forest, I only could see a group, quite large by the way, this year in Tijuca National Park. It was my first time with these funny and cute creatures.
I think itâs a western jackdaw (Coloeus monedula), also known as the Eurasian jackdaw, the European jackdaw or simply the jackdaw.
They look like a badger and a racoon got together for a good time.
Their scientific name means something like ânosey nostrilâ.
That is wonderful and, based on the Wikipedia article, quite accurate. I liked the description of how they use their tails to keep track of each other in dense undergrowth
