We’re not sure, but he’s got another 15 months of growing to go!
Yeah, not quite that big. More like a small Whippet.
Wouldn’t want to clean its litter box!
O Tannenbaum…
I guess switching from ‘eucalyptus trees only’ to ‘let’s try conifers as well’ might be a good strategy, but is this really the way to do it?
Beautiful kitty! I humbly suggest Stop the Chew spray. We have to refresh about once a week, but it does work. Very mild smell, my husband can’t detect it. But the bitter gets in your throat after a lot of spraying so I apply before bedtime and leave the room. If it’s just the lights for you, you could put on glove and rub rather than spray. Do not use bare hands, that taste is hard to scrub off. We also use a spray bottle whenever anyone gets too curious. Water and vinegar because water alone is not icky enough for one of them. This has kept cats from the lights and the branch tips.
I turned on a space heater for my cold feet and received an unexpected reward.
Another kitty basking in the light of myths and consumerism.
We have and use a spray bottle, but he’s still a kitten, and he dries fast, so the lessons don’t stick for more than a couple hours. I have considered coating the bulbs he most frequently targets with my hot sauce, it’s somewhere north of 1M Scoville units hot, but that might be too mean.
it’s only mean if you put the hot sauce in the spray bottle.
OT aside: what kind of peppers did you use in your sauce? I just made a bunch from peppers I grew and would love to swap secrets - on the food thread, of course.
back on topic: maybe hot sauce spray not such a good idea on kitteh that just might grow to be very large?!
Totally OT, but the batch in question has Scotch Bonnet mostly, with Habanero, Caribbean Red, Jalapeño, Cayenne, Serrano, a handful of Scorpion and some Ghost - basically every pepper we had growing the prior year. It’s spiced with vinegar, cilantro, lime, cinnamon, vanilla (that we extracted with 100-proof vodka) and a bit of sugar to level everything out a little. IIRC, the last couple jars of the prior year’s tomatoes went in, too. This batch had to be cooked outside on a butane camping stove - cleaning up was like standing in the middle of a recently tear-gassed street. It’s very tasty, but must be used judiciously.
Still going through my old game cam pics and realizing this gal was a total diva:
There are tons of photos of her in the yard and walking around with the young-uns, and at least a dozen looking right into the camera like this, LOL.
The reflection of your Christmas tree lights makes it look like the tree’s about to make the jump into hyperspace.
