Post your Pet or animal Pics (Part 2)

I was actually thinking of just grabbing him and putting him in the cat carrier. The only issue is he is skittish and always stands apart at arm’s length or more. He will come around for food, and that seems to be a pretty good lure.

You’re lucky, most of the cats we’ve trapped wouldn’t let us near them.

The only exception is the one we brought into the house which is how he managed to convince us.

I looked over at the couch and this was going on.

I didn’t realize the old guy was hiding under there. His girlfriend is no spring chicken either.

OMG! She is soooo soft! Her fur is like thick velvet! It’s such a treat when she lets us pet her.

She’s hanging out with me while I get some work done.

We’ve had that illusion rug for three years now. Both buns still refuse to sit in the center.

25 days without a seizure and then a major one yesterday with several small ones over the last day.

We keep her in a room with one of the other cats when we’re not home to keep an eye on her but the little hope we had went our the window yesterday.

This is the feral’s night time bedroom, he likes to be mischievous at night so he gets his own room at night but it doubles as a monitoring room when needed. There are 3 panning cameras in there so we can see them from any angle.

No new pics, but foster kitty had his 2nd health check in and he’s up to 6.2 lbs (from 4.1 when we first took him in!)
I’m loving it, but minor kvetch about the communications - as a newbie to this, it’s been kind of jarring not knowing what to expect. I emailed to ask beforehand and was told if he passed his weight check, he’d get scheduled for neutering then come back to us for recovery, but then today when he passed, they said they’d keep him, neuter him today, then put him up for adoption. Even though he needs to fill out more. I ended up scheduling his operation for Wednesday and bringing him back home, bc I need to prepare for the goodbye, but now I kind of wonder if he’d be better getting “on the market” sooner.
I’m volunteering to update the foster guide to add some stuff. If it can save the next newbie some stress, will be totally worth it.

I feel like your kitty totally knows you have cameras on him.

Maybe, the wife talks to her when we’re out. Our daughter has access to the cameras so she watches as well. We also bunny sit a lot so the cameras allow her to watch bunny when they go away.

Robin is finally sitting on the nest she built a few weeks ago. Kiddo and I got the ladder and peeked into the nest while she was off the nest this afternoon, and there are 4 eggs.

The nest is on the top of a poorly installed porch pillar directly opposite the front door that we use multiple times a day. She’s flighty, literally, flapping away in a panic every time one of us goes in or out. I do try to minimize how often we use the door, but dammit she DID know when she built the nest that we humans are around. Oddly enough, the cats watching her through the glass storm door doesn’t seem to bother her.

Rest In Peace, buddy. You were always so kind, patient and gentle, even after the hell you were put through before. We are so grateful to have found you. You will be missed. :smiling_face_with_tear:
