This is how we spent our very uneventful Saturday afternoon.
She fell asleep guarding the stairs.
I was surprised by the amount of objects on the top of the furniture, just by your kitten’s side. Here at my home, I had to took everything out of Gata’s reach.
Saw a lot of wrens, thrushes and other nice birds on my walk, but only got a decent picture of this young robin:
And I guess it’s never too soon to start learning to fly:
Thanks. A good chuckle to start my Sunday.
That is just a perfect photo.
This gives me faith in humanity
Band name. Maybe a Portishead cover band
I honestly LOL’d.
Made the dog jump.
All the stuff I put up there is snug against the wall. The rest is all my 5 year old. Who will win in the epic battle between the decorating 5 year old and the object-knocking kitty?!
In truth though, all three of our cats are pretty good about not knocking things off. Which now that I think about it, is very usual. Our cats tend to place items rather than remove them. I am constantly finding cat toys in the bed.
the old dude decided to come down from the ancient tamarind tree to sun in the street:
easily 2+ meters, head-to-tail!
we see him around occasionally, but he spends most days way up in the tree.
She doesn’t usually do this on purpose. But when she sprints around the house, she ends up knocking over vases, picture frames and anything that gets in her way.
One thing I thought was a comic strip exaggeration or gag, is the power of the cat food package. As soon as I pick up the package, the sound makes she appears out of nowhere.
Cocktails for everyone!
Found some kittens. Mom was run over. These were born under a shed, and we’ve had to take them in. Approximately four weeks old, flea-ridden, and an upper-respiratory infection, they’ve been bathed and given medicine.
OH sweet babbies!
Good Human!
This could be a mistake, but I’m going to confess that I don’t really like cats. But helpless animals are helpless animals, regardless of genotype. Also, kittens are very cute, so there’s that. Most of the night was me cuddling the newly-washed cats, and Ms. Pane and the kids saying “Oh! Cuddling the kittens? I thought you didn’t like cats! What’s all this?” It helped that my oldest took them back to his place, else my dogs would have swallowed them whole. (Eldest is a Vet Tech, so he gets to nurse them, and the 1-week old he had with him as well).
