Swimsuit issue…
Whomever made swimsuits for cats has a deep misunderstanding about the affinity cats have for water

Oh no, this is not a bathing suit. It is one of those cat´s post surgical onesies. Her surgery is scheduled for next week and the vet said we have to dress her in this outfit for half an hour each day so she’s get used to it when she’s out of the clinic.
The vet told us that many cat owners feel that surgery or anesthesia has damaged their cats’ brains. For they fall, get stiff and just refuse to walk. Apparently these things happen because cats hate clothes, especially those that look like bathing suits.
That red outfit, so pretty and that looks like a superhero costume, was another addition to her list of things she hates.
But I don’t doubt that someone had the brilliant idea of making this kind of costume for the felines.
Every one of those cats had a look on their face that communicated “Why?” My husband gets really upset when people put costumes of their dogs and cats for giggles. (He thinks it’s borderline abusive.)
When our first born kitty had surgery to remove a tumor in her abdomen, we were there when she was waking up from the anesthesia. (We did the post operative care in order to save money.) They put a tube in her so we could feed her several times a day, and they dressed her in a mesh tube around her body so she wouldn’t lick or chew the tube. She did wonderfully well with anesthesia.
Our other kitty had his teeth cleaned and he had a severe anger reaction coming out of the anesthesia. He hissed and snarled and scared the crap out of the vet techs, so they asked us to help calm him down. Only when I used one of his nicknames, he stopped and sniffed the air, and then he crawled into my arms. We made sure to avoid future anesthesia with him and found a vet dental tech who was able to clean his teeth without sedation.
Ta-daaaa!
Our vet warned us about the risks of the anesthesia and the surgery itself. She said although the surgery is simple, some unexpected events could occur. My wife is worried. On the other side, I prefer to adhere to the optimistic side of the life. The vet is very experienced and seems to genuinely love animals.
Que coisa!
Learning something new every day. I thought animals were born complete, with everything ready to face wild nature, like the giraffe in the other news you posted.
So cozy!
Oh yeah, it’s too bad I don’t know which kitten they came from or I’d have the Tooth Fairy pay them a visit with some kitty treats. Ah, who am I kidding.? They’ll get kitty treats anyway.
Ambush!!!
This is why I’m a dog person.

It’s all about a matter of keeping the mind still, the spine straight and the heart calm.
A modern mantra by the late Walter Franco.
Aaaaahhhh… Just like home.
