Much better day and night.
She layed next my wife and let her pet her. She purred and made biscuits, the cat not my wife.
She doesn’t run from me but she won’t let me pet her. Still not my wife, the cat.
She stopped hissing at us. She never hissed at us in the yard but she did have a stressful couple days.
I swapped out the light switch with a smart dimmer switch so we can make it more like she was used to on our back deck.
She slept spread out on the big bed most of the night.
We’re a lot more confident this will work out.
I’m not getting attached by using her name but my wife has been calling her Lulu for many years. She knows her name.
I ordered her a new drinking fountain yesterday.

And now, squirrel…
We have a new crop of squirrels just in time for the fall.
This one is really chill.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo, but I had to post.
What’s going on here: the buck decided to drag his little house a good 18-24 inches from the wall to where the entrance is just under the bed.
He planned this.
I’m impressed with my little buddy’s critical thinking skills.

Jay is no longer our foster kitty because he got adopted just over a year ago. He’s doing wonderful with his forever family. Yay!
We were so, so close to failing as a foster. If we kept him, we would have elevated him to Dr. J (juris doctorate).
The young couple who adopted him did it because the wife grew up in foster care. She saw that Jay was a foster kitty and just had to have him.

That’s amazing, so heart warming that someone decided to give him a loving home.
